Ragz has become an acoustic favourite in the North West of England over the last few years (where’s she’s supported the likes of Wild Beasts, Laura Marling and Mumford & Sons), the releases on NuNorthern Soul sees the talented singer focusing on a new direction which utilises the studio savvy electronic goodness of Mario Leal. Mario’s previous work involves Mumford & Sons, Digitalique and the Tea Street Band, and his juxtaposition of electronics and classical influence adds a glacial sheen to the haunting qualities of her voice.
